2nd generation seedling. Parent plant seed was collected from a wild plant growing as an epiphyte on a mountain range in Quezon Province on the Island of Luzon in the Philippines. The seeds were collected in September of 2006 by Merlin Sy of Pinoy Plants. This clone stays small and starts reproducing very early. The caudex is round and eventually forms ridges that make it look like a miniature pumpkin. It is sometimes sold as Hydnophytum formicarum “pumpkin”.Additional Provenance Info
