- Description: 3-6m vigorous climber, attractive heart-shaped leaves, panicles of yellow and reddish-purple fl Sp, med.
Species does not appear in the IUCN Redlist, but is listed as Endangered in the Redlist of South African Plants.
- Uses: Used medicinally by the Zulu's and to make a beverage similar to ginger-beer.
