  • Description: 20m decid shrub/tree, leaves compound, whitish bark, attractive scented cream fl Sp-Su, good rose-red wood, pepper scented sawdust a medicinal snuff
  • Culture: Sow seed spring
    drought tolerant, but grows better with ample moisture. Prefers shale or alkaline soils, but grows well in most well-drained rocky or sandy soils.
  • USDA Zone: 9
