  • Description: Pale gray-green leaves and 3 petalled bright yellow flowers about 6mm across, followed by 3-sided, brownish red fruit that ripens to black. Multi-stemmed from ground level, it grows to 2-4 feet high and flowers in summer. Leaves and fruit are used locally as a purgative but it is not common outside of its native western Mediterranean habitat.
