  • Family: Onagraceae Juss.

  • Country of Origin: Haiti, Santo Domingo
  • Habitat: mountainous areas of the Caribbean

  • Culture: Shady, or partly sunny areas. Does well in cooler sub-tropical areas with ample humidity - likes fog. Avoid direct sun and high temperatures. Hardy down to about 25F but should be protected below freezing.
