    Glabrous subshrub, to 3 feet; leaves elliptic-obovate or oblong-obovate, mucronate, entire to serrulate; flowers 1-2 inches across, petals united into a tube at base, styles 3-5. sometimes erroneously grown as Linum flavum.

    Native to mountains of northern India and China.
