- Description: Leaves oblong, to 10 inches long, dark green mottled with silver or gray above, purple underneath; inflorescence a panicle to 3 feet long with 200 flowers of more; flowers to 3 inches across, rich rose-lilac, sepals obovate, petals rhomboid, lip 3-lobed, spotted with reddish-brown, with a yellow callus, lateral lobes oblong, midlobe elliptic, with 2 divergent horn-like appendages at apex.
