    Caudiciform tree to 100', deciduous in cooler regions; leaves 3-5-7 lobed or angled, 4-8 inches across, white or yellow tomentose underneath; flowers clustered in the axils, calyx pink or pale red, campanulate, to 2 inches long, tomentose; follicles 4-6 inches long, densely rusty-pubescent.
