- Description: Small shrub, stems obscurely angled, wiry, pubescent; leaves narrowly lanceolate, 1-3 inches long, 3-nerved, glaucous-green beneath; inflorescence panicled, 1 1/2" to 4" long; flowers 5/16" across, white inside, pink outside, blooming in spring. Centradenias are grown in greenhouses for their showy, colored leaves and flowers. They thrive in soil composed of rich leafmold and sharp sand. Propagate by cuttings.
